Our First Lady ...well, there have been over 40, but our present one is big on promoting vegetables. And that is a good thing ...but just like our parents trying to force us to eat vegetables, changing what public schools serve in their cafeteria has not really worked either.

When kids get older, they no longer feel they have to follow the wisdom of their parents ...and some outright oppose the conventional wisdom.

The Bible says, "Taste and see ..."

It doesn't say to smell and see.

To taste, you have to take it in.

I like Ray Comfort's example, in his book, Hell's Best Kept Secret.  He describes an example of strapping on a parachute just before you sit yourself in those uncomfortably cramped seats.

If you are the only one who does it, and others even laugh at you ...the weight of the parachute is not the heaviest burden.  The burden is in doing the right thing.

If the plane you are on is suddenly going to crash, you'd likely feel much better about the slight discomfort the parachute had caused.  Scoffers don't usually anticipate "he who laughs last, laughs best" ---and that is because they are the ones who do the laughing.  Those like Noah and his family, do not laugh at the ignorance of others.
